It has been said that the mulberry is the queen of the trees and in that case, I’m bringing you a royal treat, right here on Ranch Raised.
For too soon, I know that the heat will be back. We will be hostage to the hayfield grind and trying to keep the house cool. So today, we take this as a gift from the good Lord to slow down and refresh a bit.
Today we celebrate the quiet heroes of the American West, the horse, of course!
Today is Celebration of the Horse Day and National I Love Horses Day which was created to highlight the importance of the animal in human history and development.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s county fair season!
So for today, we suppress the naysayers and salute the animal that yields us food, so many by-products, and for many happiness, a livelihood & purpose. All of us at Your Ag Network appreciate the cow and we think you should too!
This weekend I went back to old favorite that I haven’t done in awhile, a smoked beef roast. My freezers are full of home grown beef so for this recipe I prefer a boneless roast like a Pike’s Peak or a Sirloin Tip.
