So much to do and so little time! It’s Monday and that means back to the daily grind. Thanks for joining me today on Ranch Raised.
Days upon days of the dirt blowing, calving season in high gear, busy kids bustling, you can bet my laundry situation is no better shape than the last time that I brought this subject up. But, today I can do it with no guilt because it is National Laundry Day!
I’m just so torn, does one celebrate this day by slaving away getting the laundry done or does one use the excuse that today is a “free pass” to ignore the piles that need done? I’m still debating how I will be executing my celebration of the national holiday.
I should probably stay at the grind. After 17 years of faithful duty from my laundry room duo, I think my dryer has laid down on me for the last time. I have limped both machines along the last few years, with the help of my husband who has gotten good at being a YouTube appliance mechanic, ordering parts online and replacing whatever is broken. But, alas, this time we are a bit stumped. My sister keeps telling me to give up the ghost and just breakdown and buy a new set, but my husband and I are such cheap skates and always determined to go against the grain.
So maybe that is what I will do, today on National Laundry Day, contemplate my future repair of my dryer or the purchase of a new set. Feel free to weigh on my Ranch Raised FB page!

Watching the cattle industry go the path that it has gone, she could no longer sit quietly at home checking cows, fixing fence, and doing all the everyday tasks wondering when some else was going to make it all better. That position transcended into her former role as full time Field Director for R-CALF USA.
