A study just released this week by the University of Nebraska magnifies the rising cost of raising cattle in “the beef state”. According to their findings, “Average annual production costs rose approximately $300 per cow compared to the previous year.”

How lucky are we to live in a part of the world were we get to use all of our senses to feast on the changing of the seasons. 

You can bet we will be celebrating National Biscuits and Gravy Week in my kitchen as this is one of my family’s favorite meals! And don’t forget to teach your kids how to make gravy as it is truly a rite of passage to a successful adulthood!

So, maybe this is my challenge to all of us during this busy back to school season. Let’s get our tables cleaned off and get some feet under it!
