A backseat full of kids! Thanks for joining me today on Ranch Raised!
I’m going to warn you, if you open up the back door of my vehicle, you may or may not have seat. It is not unusual for my vehicle to be a smorgasbord of ranch and child raising paraphernalia. There are probably some books and small toys floating around. Maybe a coat and some hoodies. Could be some snack or old French fries back there. Believe me, I know that there are things you can not not unsee in my vehicle and I’m okay with that!
But, this is also the time of year where it is not uncommon for me to be zig zagging around the state hauling a load of bovine swimmers. Yes, it is pretty common place for me and other women like me to have one kid buckled into a car seat, with a couple hundred or thousand cattle kids buckled in the next seat taking a little liquid nitrogen nap, waiting for their time to thaw and a make a little cow baby.
That is why I hold absolutely zero judgment as to what another person’s car looks like! Who am I to know if their grocery getter doubles as a semen super hauler? In fact, in my part of the world, over the next few months, the thought often crosses my mind when I encounter certain neighbors on the road or meet someone pulling an AI shed, “hmmm, wonder what they are packing today?” And that is not reference to fire arms but instead to what sires they are breeding to.
Get out and enjoy this beautiful day! Make sure and buckle up and stay safe out there on our roads as spring farming traffic is picking up. Take Care my friends!
