You picked a great day to tune in to Ranch Raised! As I’ve said before, I feed a family of big breakfast eaters! Some mornings, serving breakfast around here resembles opening a barn darn and the animals fleeing the barn to run to their grain troughs.
I really try not make sugary cereal an option in the mornings, but what can I say, it does happen, so no judgement here. When I run on to a simple, out of the ordinary recipe option, my family is usually always down to try it!

You will need 2 cans of crescent rolls that you will leave flat and roll out on a big baking sheet. Yes, I made mine into the shape of a candy cane, but we will enjoy this recipe all year around, so you don’t have to be that fancy. Whip one package of room temp cream cheese with ½ cup of powdered sugar. Add in ½ teaspoon of almond extract or vanilla extract and 1 tsp of lemon juice. Spread on the crescent roll dough. On top of the cream cheese mixture, spread one can of cherry pie filling. Bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes. While that is baking, make a simple glaze of 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar with 3-4 tablespoons milk and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract and then drizzle on the masterpiece after you pull it out of the oven.
This is truly a simple and stunning recipe to fill the bellies in your home. For a fun twist, serve is ala mode and you have a great dessert option.
