Candy, fudge or cut out sugar cookies? Peanut clusters, no bake or buckeyes? Chocolate crinkles or thumbprint cookies? Monster cookies or the good ole fashioned chocolate chip seems to always be crowd favorites! You better tune in tomorrow to see what goodies I’ve been whipping up. I feel another recipe coming on.

So check out your local library’s schedule. You might be surprised at the fun things they have planned that are just waiting to invite your family in!

If you are finding this season of life hard or stressful, take a breath and write down what you are thankful for. Perspective can change your day!

I encourage you to look for community activities taking place in your area this holiday season and to take part as either a volunteer or a supporter with your presence!

In the past, I have focused on gift ideas during this month that are usually centered around supporting your local small-town businesses or making homemade gifts. But, I have decided this year to give you ideas centered around spending time with your loved ones.

Those of us at Ranch Raised wish you the best holiday season, even when there is an empty chair at your table. Have a great day full of peace, hope, and happiness.

I know that everyone’s “hard” looks different. But, I hope that you are surrounded by people that help remind you that even in a season of hard, there is so much to be grateful for.

No need to go overboard with a fancy table and decorations galore.

Just focus on the people that are coming to your home and you will need nothing more.
