OTC Market Group, owners of the historic Oklahoma National Stockyards, announced they had reached a sale agreement with an unknown buyer. The stockyards were founded in 1910 (making ONSY the oldest operational sale barn in North America), and the property is around 100 acres along with a price tag of 27 million dollars.
The HBR had a chance to speak with stockyard president Jerry Reynolds about the sale. He couldn’t make any comments about the identity of the purchaser or any of the financial details, but he did reassure us that the unnamed party is a cattleman and a developer. Jerry was quoted as saying “The purchaser wants to see the stockyards operational for the next hundred years.”
