It is rare that I share my political feelings on this show, but I’m going to let it rip, today on Ranch Raised!
I don’t know how these people got my number, but I am seriously considering dropping my cell phone number which I have had since 1996, in my best effort to NEVER receive another political text again! My husband who maybe takes 10 phone calls a month, receives that many political texts before noon. He is on the edge of riding by a windmill and throwing his phone into the water tank.
And how about opening up the mailbox these days. I’ve had more pleasure in taking out the trash, then collecting the mail. God bless our mail carriers! But, honestly, who is even looking at all of those political mailers? For the most part, the ones that come out of my mailbox, go right into the trash can without any of our eyeballs looking at them.
It pushes me into a state of nausea thinking about all of the millions of dollars that have been spent on these political campaigns. Especially when I consider the reality of our nation. A country that is now a net importer of food. A country that is riddled with addiction and disease. Could we not spend that money on cancer research or making sure every child has a good breakfast and a clean coat to swear to school? And that is where I divert from every political campaign. It is nothing but a gross display of how disconnected politicians are from the average Americans, like you and I!
