Karina Jones is a real-life ranch wife in the Nebraska Sandhills and one of the most highly sought-after speakers in the cattle industry nationwide!
Welcome back to Fun Friday here on Ranch Raised.
Do we have any Yellowstone fans listening? Before I go further, I will admit, I’m not like a super-hot fan girl. I have my own cowboy and live this life every day, in a way less romantic, more wind and dirt kind of way, but I do like analyzing the hype.
So this season opener was kind of a cliff hanger. I honestly can’t even remember much about the plot. It blew my mind that there wasn’t a pound of ground round anywhere to be found on the Yellowstone Ranch and Beth Dutton subbed TUNA???? In an out of left field sort of way, it was like Hamburger Helper became the supporting actor.
All week I have been trying to guess if we will ever really know what kind of Hamburger Helper Beth Dutton whipped up! That was the heartiest Hamburger Helper I’ve ever seen. Does one box really make that much now??? I’m clearly so behind.
Now I don’t know what to expect this season. What’s next for Beth? Potholders, a line of kitchen aprons? Is she the next Pioneer Woman? Do I dare reach out and swap my Buckaroo Brownie recipe for her Hamburger Helper tips and tricks? I’m on the edge of my couch wondering what casserole Beth will pull out of the oven this week!
Don’t miss an episode of Ranch Raised! Catch up the Your Ag Network website or app. By the way, I gave a riveting run down of what is going on in the cattle industry on Hot Barn Report today, so check it out. See you Monday!

Karina ranches with her husband, Marty, and 3 daughters near Broken Bow, NE. She grew up in western NE, with roots also in southwest SD. The cattle industry and raising kids is her passion.
Watching the cattle industry go the path that it has gone, she could no longer sit quietly at home checking cows, fixing fence, and doing all the everyday tasks wondering when some else was going to make it all better. As she became more active and outspoken on industry issues, she was asked to join the R-CALF USA staff in September 2020 as the Checkoff Petition Campaign manager. That position transcended into her current role as full time Field Director for R-CALF USA.
You can hear her almost every Friday on Your Ag Network’s Hot Barn Report that is broadcast on 60 radio stations with coverage in 9 states, where she deep dives into cattle industry issues and highlights R-CALF’s work on industry reforms. Listen to Ranch Raised on a Your Ag Network hometown station or www.youragnetwork.com where she talks about her daily life on the ranch.
Cattle producers are her people. She will meet you at the county fair, at the sale barn, or anywhere the dusty trail leads.
