Somewhere In Middle America – Rodeo has no shortage of superstars, and this week, we tip our hat not just to the cowboys, but to the four-legged athletes that make the sport what it is.

Cash Deal, a saddle bronc standout for Dakota Rodeo and an eight-time National Finals Rodeo horse, has made his final trip.

He recently passed away at just 14 years old, found resting peacefully, as if he had just finished another ride.

From helping crown a world champion at the most recent NFR with Statler Wright to delivering elite performances arena after arena, Cash Deal built a legacy that won’t soon be forgotten.

Today, the rodeo world remembers a true athlete — because in rodeo, some competitors wear boots… and some wear hooves.

PRCA Standings Update

Here’s a quick look at the latest shakeups across the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association standings:

Bareback Riding
Wacey Schalla holds the top spot, but reigning world champion Rocker Steiner is making a strong push after a big showing at Rodeo Houston. He now sits just $3,000 back in second. Bradlee Miller, Jacob Lees and R.C. Landingham round out the top five.

Steer Wrestling (Bulldogging)
Holden Myers leads the pack, followed by Tyler Waguespack and Mike McGinn. Stetson Jorgensen and Bridger Anderson sit fourth and fifth.

Team Roping
A historic moment in Austin, Texas, as Dustin Egusquiza and J.C. Flake set a new world record with a blazing 2.9-second run. The previous record of 3.2 seconds, set just last week by Rance Doyal and James Arviso, didn’t last long — a reminder of just how fast this event is evolving.

Saddle Bronc Riding
Stetson Wright sits comfortably in first, holding a lead of roughly $20,000 over Rusty Wright. Kade Bruno is third, followed by Wyatt Casper and Chase Brooks.

Tie-Down Roping
Riley Webb continues to dominate in the top spot. Kincade Henry, Shane Hanchey, Haven Meged and Marty Yates round out the top five.

Barrel Racing
It’s a tight race at the top between Emily Beisel and Kassie Mowry. Anita Ellis holds third, with Hayle Gibson-Stillwell and Gracen Harman close behind.

Bull Riding
There’s a new No. 1 in the world. Jake Gardner of British Columbia surged to the top following a $65,000 payday at Rodeo Houston. Stetson Wright now sits second, Luke “Kid” Mackey is third, with Tristen Hutchings and Mason Moody rounding out the top five.
