I think cookies just taste better out of an ice cream bucket, but maybe that is my conservative, sentimental heart speaking. 

Our eclectic new collection of pullets or young egg layers are starting to earn their keep and we are finding little pullet eggs around the barn.

The past few days my kids have been involved in incredible learning and personal growth opportunities.

Before the pumpkin spice pop culture captured the spotlight and made pumpkin spice a household craze, there is actually a lot behind that spherical, orange fruit to learn about.

Today I thank all of the advisors, chaperones, sponsors, FFA staff, and volunteers that are investing in these kids and ultimately the future of agriculture!

Because of the obvious holiday we celebrate during this month, it is also known as the month of giving thanks and that is where I like to let my head and heart reside. 

I feel ya parents, it is hard when Halloween falls in the middle of the work and school week. I am not immune to those challenges. No matter the stress level, don’t let the expectations overshadow the memories.

There may have been a strong chill in the air requiring coveralls, extra layers, and hot cocoa to get through morning chores, but it was an absolutely glorious weekend at the Jones Ranch.  

I plan on making my kids some Hocus Pocus punch this weekend! I’m giving you this recipe today so you can swing by the store and grab the ingredients.
