Middle of the Midwest – The ProRodeo Hall of Fame has announced a loaded 2026 induction class, headlined by media trailblazer Jeff Medders and world champions Butch Myers and Jerome Davis.

The trio leads a group that spans multiple corners of the rodeo world, including legendary bullfighter Keith Isley, stock contractor Ike Sankey and 12-time National Finals Rodeo qualifier Bobby Goodspeed.

The class also recognizes standout animal athletes and barrel racing champions. Beutler & Son Rodeo’s famed bucking horse Killer Bee will be enshrined, along with WPRA world champions Loretta Manuel and Mary Burger.

The 2026 class will officially be inducted July 18 in Colorado Springs, honoring careers that helped shape the sport across generations.

Bareback riding tightens at the top

Rocker Steiner has climbed back to No. 1 in the PRCA bareback riding standings, but the race is far from settled. Bradlee Miller sits just $2,000 behind, setting up a tight battle heading into the summer run.

Oklahoma’s Wacey Schalla holds third, followed by Jacob Lees and Kansas cowboy Jess Pope in fourth and fifth.

Injuries shake up steer wrestling race

Holden Myers continues to lead steer wrestling with a commanding $23,000 advantage over Tyler Waguespack.

But the biggest storyline comes from third-ranked Stetson Jorgenson, who is expected to miss four to six months after tearing his ACL during slack at the San Angelo Rodeo.

Mike McGinn and Bridger Anderson round out the top five.

Team roping sees movement on both ends

In the team roping header standings, New Mexico’s Korbin Rice leads the pack, followed by Kaleb Driggers and Oklahoma’s Jake Smith. Dustin Egusquiza and Tanner Tomlinson sit fourth and fifth.

On the heeler side, Cooper Freeman of Carthage, Missouri has taken over the No. 1 spot. Junior Nunes Nogueira is second, with Douglas Rich, Cole Curry and Trent Vaught locked in a tight race behind him.

Wright family continues bronc riding dominance

Saddle bronc riding remains firmly in the grasp of the Wright family.

Stetson Wright leads the standings, with Rusty Wright close behind. Kade Bruno, Wyatt Casper and Chase Brooks remain within striking distance but continue chasing the leaders.

Tie-down roping led by Texas talent

Tie-down roping continues to be dominated by cowboys from Texas and the surrounding region.

Riley Webb holds the top spot, followed by Kincade Henry. Shane Hanchey, Haven Meged and Marty Yates complete the top five.

Mowry builds commanding lead in barrel racing

Kassie Mowry continues to separate herself in barrel racing after a strong showing at Rodeo Austin.

Despite the event paying out more than $97,000, Mowry added nearly $20,000 to her total and now leads LaTricia Duke by nearly $40,000.

Hailey Kinsel sits third, with Emily Beisel and Hayle Gibson-Stillwell rounding out the top five.

Bull riding shaping up for season-long battle

Bull riding remains one of the most volatile races on the board.

Canada’s Jake Gardner currently leads the standings, with Tristen Hutchings in second. Stetson Wright sits third, while Hayden Welsh of Gillette, Wyoming has climbed to fourth. Luke “Kid” Mackey rounds out the top five.

As the calendar turns to April, the ProRodeo season is gaining momentum, with standings tightening and storylines building toward the summer run.

And while new names rise each week, the legends of the sport will take center stage once again this July in Colorado Springs — a reminder that in rodeo, greatness doesn’t fade. It gets remembered.
