That was like a heart check moment for my daughter and I. Kids, take the time to be deeply grateful for all of the opportunities that you have been given whether it be in 4-H, athletics, the fine arts or whatever. And don’t forget to thank the people that make it all possible.
I applaud you, I see you, I am always cheering for you! You do not need to have a ball in your hands to accomplish great things during your youth. You may just need to walk into a barn and follow your passion!

I’m going to wrap up by saying I am terrible at being the tooth fairy. If there was an EPD for it, I would admittedly be in the bottom 2% of the parent population. So, I will be over here celebrating National Dog Month instead.
The list of benefits to spending time with a dog goes on and on, but it all proves one thing––that a month-long celebration of our furry best friends has been a long time coming. Yes, August is National Dog Month!
Throughout the years of traveling to stock shows and livestock events all over the country there has been an unexpected blessing. Drinking cups of every color and varies sizes that promote feed, pharmaceuticals, supplements, sheep and goat reproductive services, and even a variety of cattle ranches.
Thanks to some neighbors sharing their bounty of zucchini, we had a big baking weekend around here. We made a double batch of these Lemon Zucchini Muffins, and I just couldn’t wait to share the recipe with all of you!
What two things hail from the Cornhusker state, are sweet, enjoyed by many, and share August 16th as their day of celebration? My husband and Kool Aid!
My rhubarb is really needing some attention with some big thick stalks in the stand, so that calls for some jam making on the horizon and maybe a strawberry rhubarb crisp as a treat for my husband! That recipe is posted on the Ranch Raised Recipe Book on the Your Ag Network app and website.
