I love baking with pumpkin! Pies, cheesecakes, muffins, cookies, and even soups! I don’t think we use pumpkin enough to feed our families. So I challenge you to give it a try!

Today is National Pickle Day! I couldn’t pass this chance to talk about one of my favorite products that I preserve in my home kitchen.

But above all, the age-old skill of looking at your weekly grocery store ad and meal planning your week around that good deals will never go out of style. I’m here to tell you, I am right here with you making those choices.  

The restoration of the observance of Veterans Day to November 11 not only preserves the historical significance of the date, but helps focus attention on the important purpose of Veterans Day: A celebration to honor America’s veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good. 

Let’s take a deep dive into the real star of the season, the pumpkin spice – spice blend. The pumpkin spice blend is a flavor profile as old as time.

We know as the leaves turn and the landscape burns with hues of golden colors, one of the most polarizing debates will resurface. The stakes are high. Friendships are tested. The line in the sand is drawn, which side are you on? 

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, I am going to really try to make a concentrated effort to focus on gratefulness instead of the challenges, problems, and anxiety that I can let take over, especially in the chapter of life that we are in currently.  

I just want to start off the month by reminding us to be thankful for all things big and small. I’ve been through my share of tough times, and it never fails that gratitude is always the medicine to face the challenges. So cheers to making November one to remember!
