I think that this topic is vital to those of us working in agriculture and even those who do not work in ag. Because as long as we are sharing the road together or you need to be fed, you are affected by this topic.

But, it sure put a smile on my face to see thousands of young people either stepping their toe in the water or fully immersing themselves into this ag experience! Well done, Husker Harvest Days and well done FFA nation!  

I mean, I don’t think I have ever even had a Pumpkin Spice Latte. I prefer cinnamon aroma to come wafting out of my oven instead of a candle and honestly, I look like lumber jack in flannel anyway, so I am completely failing at this fall thing.

We all LOVE having top notch activities to plug our kids in to. But, I am definitely noticing a drain on the volunteer pool. I think it is time to refresh that pool and make sure we can all say confidently we are giving back to the activities we love so much! 

There is a stirring of excitement in our house and I can’t wait to tell you all about it, today on Ranch Raised. 

Now it is time to do a reset around the house and settle in to our homeschool routine. I’ve got some peaches to can, some tomatoes to gather, and some sourdough to bake. How about you? What do you have going this week in your home?

That was like a heart check moment for my daughter and I. Kids, take the time to be deeply grateful for all of the opportunities that you have been given whether it be in 4-H, athletics, the fine arts or whatever. And don’t forget to thank the people that make it all possible. 

I applaud you, I see you, I am always cheering for you! You do not need to have a ball in your hands to accomplish great things during your youth. You may just need to walk into a barn and follow your passion!
