Ranch Raised with Karina Jones – Here Comes the Sun….and Spring!
Once again, we appreciate all of the men and women who are showing up and doing the work both in and outside of the ag industry! Let’s all hope for a beautiful spring season!

It’s a tough day across much of the Midwest, all the more reason to salute our brothers & sisters in agriculture!
Today we salute the American farmer and ranch. From providing food to fiber, cosmetics to clothing and so many products in between, we are thankful for those that work the land and tend to their herds.
So cheers to calving season and new life, both literally and figuratively.
It’s the end of an era here on the Jones Ranch!
I just want everyone to prepare with their communities. I think the south and east of here are in for a bumpy ride. Stock up on the things you need. Check in with your neighbors and loved ones and make sure they are prepared and have a safety plan.
Metaphorically, spring has always been a time that brings new life and for our family we truly do have a “new life” right on the horizon…..and no, I am not pregnant!
Since we have been on the topic of busy calving season meals or just busy season meals, I came across a fun little fact. Sunday, March 9 is National Meatball Day so let’s get into the “meat” of things right here on Ranch Raised.
Leave me a message on the Ranch Raised Facebook page telling me your favorite way to use shredded roast beef to feed your family. Bonus points if you leave me a recipe to try!
It’s meal stocking and calving season survival mode around here which requires special attention to meal planning!
