Ranch Raised

Let’s all take a minute to give appreciation for our hometown radio stations like the one you listening to right now, and our newspapers!

Recently I have been hearing a lot of people say, “this isn’t about winning.” I would love to tell you that’s the truth. But it isn’t.

Now it’s not about the banners, the buckles, the money.

Survey says that vanilla is the most popular flavor of ice cream followed by chocolate, but I want to hear from you! What do you want a scoop up Rocky Road? Cherry Nut? Strawberry? Tell me your favorite flavor of ice cream on the Ranch Raised FB page!

“There is a growing concern about the rising U.S.  agricultural trade deficit.”

In the fiscal year 2023 the US experienced a significant trade deficit of $16.7 billion and now in 2024, we are on track to double that!

Don’t forget to get out and enjoy your local county fair!

We are still cheering for all of those entering their local county fairs! Have a blast and hold on to the memories you are making.

My point is, there are so many opportunities to make sure kids aren’t laying on the couch all summer. There is plenty of summer left to make memories and write a chapter in your child’s life book.

Today we salute the volunteers who pour into their local companion animal programs and the youth who have taken their 4 legged friends into their hearts and created loyal bonds that some will never know!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s county fair season! What else could you have possibly thought I was talking about.

I have the rest of my life to find a purpose for the other 10,639 buttons of hers that I am happily holding on to!

Summer is National Championship Season, at least it is if your kids are involved in the greatest sports on dirt.
